  • This update has taken my site down (www.erikwilliams.com). Could anyone tell me how I can disable this plugin without having access to the dashboard? Thanks!!

Figured out how to disable – FTPed in and added “-BAD” to end of that plugin directory name.

Nuked mine as well! Please fix. This is BAD karma and should have been tested more thoroughly before release…

Todays update as well took down my whole site, frontend and backend!

Pls. fix and test more before releasing an update next time!

    Harald.

I have this same problem and it relates to the fact that this plugin is using an anonymous function in the code which only works on PHP 5.3+

I have manually fixed the plugin to get it working on my site but it would be good for the developer to do a proper fix.

    Cheers

I had a different problem with this version of the plugin (luckily I was running with a later version of PHP).

Whenever I saved a post or logged out I got a load of header already posted errors.

Does anyone know of a fix for this?

In the meantime I have deactivated the plugin.

Same probleme here (3.6.1), could not login into the backend and had to deactivate via sql.

After the update my blog when you try to log on, publication, checking and reads like a blank page. I hope it will be fixed soon, so far I’ve deactivated.

    Hi

You can contact the developer on their website http://www.bannerweb.ch/kontakt/

They do, respond to direct contact.

I had the same problem on VBCShafter.com. I use GoDaddy to host my site and easily used the provided GoDaddy FTP web based program in the control panel to rename the directory (thus turning it off).

If you know who to use an FTP program like filezilla then you should be able to fix the problem in a few minutes. For you guys who don’t know how to, I’m sorry as you may need to get outside help on this.

Birgit S. Kern has a post above that looks promising. I’ve never tried that method, but I’m going to take a look at it.

I downloaded and then uploaded and older version 1.5.2.2 @: http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-mail-address-encoder/developers/
