I have created a test auction. When I add the short code [wdm_auction_listing] to a post and view the preview the preview shows fine but when you try to click any of the links for the test auction it just loops to the original post page and doesn’t take you to the individual item page? Am I missing something? Also there is no bid now button.

When I actually publish this test post, and then click preview post, i keep getting a 404 error..

Any ideas where I went wrong?

  • I’m experiencing the same issue.

No Bid Now and Buy Now buttons.

I do not get the 404 error message but when clicking to the item detail, it just loops back to the original post page.

I am logged in as admin, should I be able to place a bid as a registered user?

    Please help.

@chipchebee, let me understand your issue.
In your previous post, you suggested:
    1. Go to http://becausevietnam.org/test-auction-page/ (I visited this page as a visitor i.e. without registered user to your site)
    2. Click any one auction.
    3. You said – when clicking to the item detail, it just loops back to the original post page.

Step 3 works fine for me . I click auction & it loads dedicated auction page where I can see “Place Bid” and “Buy Now” buttons.

Are you suggesting that you are getting error for Step 3?

    Kindly confirm.

Also, I registered on your site but did not receive password email. Could you create a test user & share the password to test place bid button.

    Thanks,
    Nitesh

    Thanks Nitesh.

I think it’s working now. I’ve just sent you temporary password to test. But it should be resolved.

The key take away is that I have to create a new user and test under new user instead of logging in as admin.

Just another quick question, is there an alternate option for user to subscribe to the page and not have to wait for password to email to them? Or this is a necessary step to avoid spam?

    Much appreciated your help.

    Hi,

Your latest question seems to be related to User registration for WP.
There are good plugins available to handle such things.

    Cheers,
    Nitesh
