Bulk edit tags doesn't work

Hi,
I was editing my tags and I accidentally deleted a tag that was used in many posts of a certain category on my blog. I wanted to add the tag again with but it remained blank. I tried to edit the tags of another category and it deleted all the tags for the posts I had selected.
Does anyone know another way to bulk edit tags or a way to fix this problem, please?
