    I’ve been using Subscribe2 without issue until recently. About a month or so ago, every time I publish a new post, the page takes about 2 minutes to refresh (and confirm that it was published) although the post is actually published right away along with the email notifications being sent. My default is to set send immediate notifications and the issue only disappears if notifications are not sent (via the disable check box or a private post). I have tried disabling & re-enabling & even deleted & re-installed the plugin today but the issue persists. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • @jaco44,

    You are most likely waiting for the server to process the sending of your emails. Ask your hosting provider to check resource availability on the server for you and ask them if it’s worth considering moving your site to a more powerful server to reduce this delay.

    Thx for getting back so quickly mattyrob. I’ll check with my hosting co. to see if that is the issue. Sounds odd because I hadn’t made any changes to my site or the number of subscribers when this issue started but maybe my hosting co. cut back on the resource allocation on the shared server that I’m hosted on? I noticed the update you rolled out for the plugin last week & appreciate all of your efforts. As soon as everything is working again I’m going to make a donation. Thanks again.

    @jaco44,

    Hosting providers are making changes to their servers on a very regular basis – sometimes daily. They don’t tell you before they make the changes and they only even aim to improve the service you are getting my increasing reliability and sharing the resources better between accounts. But sometimes the changes have unintended consequences.
