160 core files showing in root directory from core.9946 to core.11614

    My site started slowing down and I just looked in the root directory and instead of seeing the normal single core file I see 160 core files showing in root directory from core.9946 to core.11614

    They range in size from about 4MB each up to 40MB

    Does anyone have any idea why?
