Krishna – Thanks for the link. Is that Delete Pending Comments plugin safe? I installed an anti spam filter plugin last night & it crashed my site – I don’t want to take that chance again!
Media X – Thanks again! My settings are set so that nothing gets posted unless I approve it, but what I really need is to stop it coming in in the first place. I’ll wait to hear back from Krishna re the safety of her suggested plugin, & then install that so I can delete all current ones, then keep future ones in check. Wish there was a way to stop all the rubbish coming in!
Sorry, I have not tested that plugin. Also note that even if I tested it and found safe in my setup, it is NOT necessary that it will give you the same results for you. In such cases, (a) keep backups for restoration, (b) test the plugins in your local WordPress installation (on your machine) or use a test site before running them on a live site.

For problems with the plug-ins is better to seek to support those plugins. judirose on the problem with the plugin you’ve already answered in a previous post.
CleanTalk-spam protect resolved the problem.
Please re-install the plugin, there fixed issue with mass comments deletion.

I have over 300,00 comments in my Pending section and am sick to death of getting these spam comments. Is there a shortcut to deleting them in bulk?
The only option I’m given at the moment is to go through & tick each one on a page, then ‘Mark as Spam’ in the Bulk Actions drop down box – there has to be an easier way than this!
Also, how do I stop this rubbish coming in to my site in the first place?
