custom fields not populating twitter card meta

    Hi
    Using JM Twitter 3.3.6 with SEO Yoast installed but
    NO selected for Use SEO by Yoast for meta title and
    NO for Use SEO by Yoast meta description

    Entered TitleTwitter as key for Twitter Title
    Entered DescriptionTwitter as key for Twitter Description
    Populated these custom fields in posts

    JM Twitter populates Twitter Meta with post title and post content not custom field data. (Other plugins find these custom fields)

    Tried changing Card types, updating, new post.

    Any ideas?

    You have to provide meta key for custom fields.

    The technique is simple : in option page your have fields in which your provide meta key for both title and description post meta ( ~ custom fields).

    Should be working if you set parameter this way.

    I have the same problem. I do not understand how to relate the custom field option in your plugin. Could you be a little more specific please.

    What I need is to use excerpts of each post as description for twitter cards in the same way I do with open graph.

    Hi,

    Just put the keys in admin option page. There are inputs for that. If you use ACF this is easy. Otherwise you have to know the meta keys of your custom fields.
