  • Most themes don’t have much “documentation” per se. Some would be covered under general WP “how to” – in which case the Codex is a good source of info – http://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

Some themes have specific info in the readme.txt file that’s in the theme’s folder or as part of admin interface for the theme. Doesn’t look like this one does.

Over time a theme’s sub-forum (here) also becomes a sort of documentation as more threads are posted and answered. And if you have questions, asking them here is likely to be your best bet ATM.

Thanks, WPyhoi. I appreciate your taking the time to respond.

But, really, there is no substitute for good, solid documentation. I just can’t put client content on a theme that I have so little control over.

Sure, I’d agree with you in theory and understand where you are coming from. I was just speaking from what I’ve seen – which is that there isn’t a whole lot of documentation for most themes. I’d guess that many theme authors don’t have a lot of extra time/money to devote to it, especially for free themes from WP.ORG.
