Migrating Typepad to WordPress

    I’m in the process of moving my blog to its own server. I’ve been using Typepad for a year now, and wanted to know if it’s possible to import my exported Typepad posts, etc., into WordPress.
    Has anyone done this successfully? If so, how?

    It’s the same way as you would for Movable Type! It works like a dream!! Go to the admin folder in your Main Index, and it should show you how to import your entries from typepad.

    I did the exact same thing, and it WORKED!!

    I’ve tried to following the Codex directions but they are not as clear to newbie like myself. This line:

    “2. On line number 2 of import-mt.php, find define(‘MTEXPORT’, ); and change that to define(‘MTEXPORT’, ‘import.txt’); ”

    is confusing considering the fact that I cannot not find that line to make the changes in the first place. The only place it exists for me in is the instruction itself. Not very helpful. Any thoughts.
