Overriding theme setting

My website runs on a 2 column setup. I want my WooCommerce page to be set up on a three column setup. If I set my Shop template to the Page “Shop” and set shop to a three column setup it doesn’t work. If I set my Shop homepage to “Products Temp” Then use short code for the “Shop” home page it works on three column. My issue here is once I click on a category it takes me back to the 2 column setup then again for the product page. How do I set WooCommerce to use three column but my default template still set at two column?
