• @klynam said it with incredible passion. I’ll simply echo that it doesn’t work. I’ve gone ahead and used 1.9.13 because it’s delivering great results for my client.

I appreciate the need for a sustainable freemium model and ROI on what appears to be an acquisition. As Phil Libin at Evernote says, “the goal with the freemium model is to make users love you so much that they feel compelled to pay.”

Hopefully, the 2.0 growing pains turn out to be a hiccup. But it is important to acknowledge that there has been significant pain for some users.

My star rating is based on version 2.x. I’d be happy to update it once it’s functional.

UPDATE: As of 4-Oct-13, I have version 2.0.31 working on my sites. My rating has been upgraded from 1 to 3 stars. After testing is complete, I will revise my star rating as warranted. But the bottom line is that it appears to be getting the job done for us.

  • I too will be MORE THAN HAPPY to eat my words and change my rating to 5 stars if Photocrati can deliver a release that was as functional and stable as the pre v2.X releases. NGG was one of my top 5 plug-ins, and I use it on many many sites. And yes I have an established record of supporting good plug-ins (and themes) with my pocketbook. No one should work for free, provided they produce something of value…
