• I am getting this fatal error code: Fatal error: ‘Call to undefined function wp_initial_constants() in /home/edtecha/public_html/phd/wp-settings.php on line 26’ following an upgrade to 3.6.

I have tried renaming the current theme to x-old
I have renamed the plugins folder as suggested in other messages.

I think I may need to upload a new set of WP files, but how does this help me get around the problem?

  • Now try:
    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    – running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php
