how to style the twenty twelve default buttons

I am using a membership plugin, and they are saying that their buttons (“Submit”, etc.) are styled based upon the theme. I am using the Twenty Twelve theme and if they are correct, then I am not liking the very dull black wording agains a grayish background.

How can I style the buttons in this theme?
