“–>” showing at the end of a single post

    On the permalink page with a single post, below the postmeta data, a closing tag of a comment “–>” is displayed.

    I’d been unable to locate this piece of text either in the single.php file or any other possible files. It does not show up on the index or the archive pages.

    Any idea where it’s coming from to get rid of it?

    Solved this problem. In the single.php file, uncommenting a section of code got rid of the straggly end part of the comment.
