    Hey Alessio,

Thanks for the question. I’m afraid that the plugin only works with pages and not groups or profiles. The reason for this is that Facebook’s group and profile data is not publicly accessible, meaning that you have to be logged into Facebook in order to view them. This means that the plugin can’t access the feed data in order to display it.

The only way around this would be to force every user to log into Facebook before being able to view the feed on your website, which isn’t desirable. Therefore the plugin has been designed to only work with public Facebook pages.

If you have any other questions then just let me know.

Has this issue been addressed since this post was created?

In your plugin it gives the option to display the Fb group now.

When I use the tool you provide to find my Fb ID. It simply won’t find it.

I would really like members of my group to be able to see the feed in the members area.

    Cheers!

    Hey Seth,

Yep, the plugin is now able to display posts from groups. It will only work with open groups though and not closed or private Facebook groups. If you can let me know the link to your Facebook group then I can tell you the ID that you’ll need to use in the plugin.

    John
