    Unfortunately, you can’t do that, for it is the peculiarity of the HTML-tag <textarea>.

    Guess I won’t be using this contact form plugin then. I’m not going to sacrifice the design of my website because of a message box that cannot be constrained.

    This is something that should be considered by the plugin author. There are far too many other content form plugins out there that would allow my site to have a clean design.

    It seems mrmccarrin already fix this but it may be useful for others:

    The size expansion can be limited with the css properties min-height and max-height
