My new bold and beautiful website

    I recently posted a thread about “My responsive and beautiful website” here. After thinking about it, I wanted to take my site to the next level, adding more functionality, color, and boldness. After finding a perfect theme and working on quite a few behind the scenes modifications, I have an amazing site. Check it out:

    It looks good, but I think some of the design is confusing. On the front page a large decorated letter S reacts to mouseover, but it does nothing because its just a link to the page you’re already on. The front page has two separate ways to navigate to other pages — the menu at the top and the little dots at the bottom. The menu doesn’t indicate what page you’re on. I expected the Contact menu item to go to a Contact page, so I was surprised when it fired up my mail client. On an iPad the two little dots on the front page made me think I should be able to swipe to get to the other page, but it didn’t work (I don’t know if it’s even possible).

    @rod thanks a lot for the input. A lot of people told me the design is confusing, so I’ve been working on it. The S is the logo and directs to the home page now. The menu has been remade to always be open. The buttons on the bottom of the home page are for the slides. The navigation menu has a better format now. The Contact item is removed and a link to email me is in the footer and about page. The iPad doesn’t swipe, unfortunately.
