Have you verified that the featured image checkbox is checked in your screen options tab in the upper right?
Yes. I have only the checkboxes Achievment Data, Required Steps, Content Permissions, Badge Sharing Options (and the other wordpress options).
And under Achievement only Achivement Type Data, Buddypress Member Aktivity , Titleform
The featured image metabox should be showing up in the righthand column, not the center. If it’s not there, then I’m definitely a bit confused as to why it’s not showing up at all.
