Add Gallery/Images Does Not Work With Localhost/MAMP on Mac OS

    I have a clean install of WordPress on my Mac (OS 10.8.4) using MAMP and PHP 5.4.4 (though also tried 5.2.17). The Add Gallery/Image interface displays:

    “You browser doesn’t have Flash, Silverlight, HTML5, or HTML4 support.”

    Never mind about the grammatical mistakes in this sentence, it is not accurate. This is not a browser issue, as I am able to view this page on all my other hosted sites. So, this is more of a network issue. I have never not been able to use NextGen on my local computer until this latest update.
