• I love how Really Simple this is to use!
I love having the category page show the posts from oldest to newest.

I would love the plugin more if the list of posts in the series showed clearly which is the currently viewed post. So readers didn’t have to scroll back up to check the title of the current post and decide which is the next to click on.

Is there code to “unlink” the current post or change it’s formatting so it is easy for the reader to see where they’ve got to and where to go next?

My example is at http://www.hphl.org.uk and the series is Cherry’s Implant Blog. There’s an introduction currently on the first page, below the sticky post. I’m adding the blog in batches but the journal has been going for 3 years so there are a lot of posts! I guess I’ll need to subdivide as otherwise the Really Simple Series lists will be unmanageably long.

Can you add the option to the plugin and/or tell me what to edit where to do it? Hopefully the former as I haven’t yet had to edit files and don’t know enough about code to know what to edit where. Thank you.

That’s a great feature request. It’s not in the plugin currently, but I can add it and send out an update this week. Once I do, it’ll just add a class to the post if it’s the current one being viewed, which will make it easy for you to style it with just a line or two of css in your child theme.

Unlinking is probably not as good of an idea. Styling it is probably better.
