Plugin admin page. false incorrect username password error

    I can connect fine to my FTP Fileszilla account. But when in WP ADMIN at upgrade or add plugins using the exact same username and password it fails with a INCORRECT USERNAME AND PASSWORD error.

    This goes on for weeks and sometimes months, and then suddenly it will work for a few days in which I do the upgrades and then it goes back to failing again. The most serious problem is not being able to install new plugins.
    My server has looked into this time and again and swears it is not about them.
