• Installation of this plugin (a plugin I have used in the past, happily) now leads to the inclusion of something called “Snapsets” which basically invades every area of your site. Any time a visitor highlights something, whether text, an image, a form, anything, the Snapsets interface button adds itself to the appearance of your site: blue scissors.

The ShareThis website offers a means for disabling this feature—but it is useless when using this plugin, since this plugin has no place in its settings to use their suggested method for disabling Snapsets. The settings offer no easy method, such as a checkbox, either.

The ShareThis website is one of the most useless websites I’ve ever visited. Trying to navigate it and accomplish anything is nearly impossible. For one, you are constantly having to re-log in; the site doesn’t seem to recognize the fact that you have just logged in, if you happen to visit another page on the site. For another, their menu system for navigation, such as it is, is rather cryptic. Just try to find your way around their site looking to solutions to problems; I dare you. Just try to configure your plugin from that end: I dare you.

Technically, the plugin itself “works”, if you don’t mind sacrificing the appearance of your blog to Snapsets.
