New “” characters in existing posts

Since upgrading to 2.3.3, a large number of “” characters have appeared in many of my existing blog entries. They always appear at the end of existing words like “of” and “the” and so on.

And now that several hundred posts have all these extra “” characters, is there a simple MySQL command to run to delete them?
