    Hi there,

In the admin panel it appears I have this plugin working great. I can add Advert Types and add new ads in no problem. However, when I click “Preview” to see the ad, I get a 404 and when I put the AdKing widget into the sidebar of my site, nothing shows up.

Any ideas? I hope to sort this as this is the perfect solution to running banners/ads on our site.

    Many thanks.

    Hi Matt,

The preview button isn’t actually intended to be used. You aren’t able to view the advert in that way. It is certainly interesting that the widget doesn’t work for you however.

Can I ask, the advert that you have setup, has it been assigned to an advert type?

    Hi Ash,

Yes, I have assigned it to the advert type. If I view the source code of the page, nothing shows up at all.

    Thanks

What options are you using in the widget? Also, what version of WordPress and what version of Ad King Pro are you using? What content type have you set the advert up with (image, flash, text or google ad sence)?

Have you tried using a shortcode on a page to see if that would work for you? Just trying to single out an issue here as it very unusual your getting no response from the output.

Look forward to hearing your setup.

    Hi Ash,

I have basic options turned on. I am using WP V3.4.2 and the most recent version of AdKing as I just installed it yesterday. The adverts are simply images with a link around them. And I’ve tried shortcode as well.

    Thanks

    Hey Matt,

Well it definitely sounds like its all setup as expected.

Short of me jumping onto your environment to check it out myself, i’m scraping the bottom of the barrel here finding out what this could be. Can you try and tell me the following:

    1. Can you tell me if the adkingpro-functions.js file is being included in the header
    2. Are there any javascript error being produced in console?
    3. Can you turn WP_DEBUG on in wp_config.php and let me know if any errors are produced that have to do with Ad King Pro?

I assure you we’ll get to the bottom of this. If the above doesn’t give us many answers, are you able to email me (to the email address stated on the settings page) the address to the site this isn’t working on and the expected position of the advert?

    Hi Matt,

Just wondering how you went with this.

If you worked this out yourself, can you let me know so I can mark this as resolved (maybe describe what the problem was and what you did to fix it so that others that may have the same issue can do the same).

    Thanks

As there has been no reply to this I’m going to assume that you figured out what it issue was and mark this as resolved. If you are still experiencing the problem, please feel free to mark this as unresolved and provide further details.
