• I’m on a MAC. I have successfully installed MAMP, ftp’d my root site files from live to local site. I can log-in, and get to dashboard and make changes. Many of my pages are fine, but in Admin>Appearance>Menus, any custom links I have set up are redirecting to the live site – as they are set with the URL for the live site. Do I have to change all of those individually, or is there a php file I can change for them all so they direct to the localhost site? Thanks

  • Yes, the custom links should be changed manually. It won’t get changed automatically when you are moving the site from one domain to another (the name ‘custom link’ says itself what it means). All other like page, post or category links will get changed automatically.

Ah, that is what I thought someone would say. Thank you, I appreciate the feedback so promptly. Everything else was working just fine so when I get those changed it will be great.
