Will my twentyten to twentytwelve theme upgrade will be a mess ?

    Hi everyone,

    I am using WP 3.6 with the twentyten theme tweaked very slighlty with a child theme.
    My site is 80 pages big with 78 articles and a few plugins.
    Akismet, All In One SEO Pack, AntiVirus, BackWPup, Better WP Security, Broken Link Checker, Contact Form 7, Exploit Scanner, FancyBox for WordPress, Google Analytics for WordPress, Google XML Sitemaps, Health Check, HTML Page Sitemap, Limit Login Attempts, NextGEN Gallery, Redirection, Role Scoper, Secure WordPress, Sidebar Login, Smart Youtube PRO, Snitch, Theme-Check, Theme Authenticity Checker (TAC), WassUp Real Time Analytics, Widget Logic, WordPress.com Stats, WordPress Database Backup, WordPress Firewall 2, WP-DBManager, WP-Memory-Usage, WP-PageNavi, WP-Table Reloaded, wp-Typography, WP Security Scan

    I would like to upgrade to the twentytwelve theme.

    (1) Will it be easy or very troubling to the site life ?
    (2) Do i need to desactivate all the plugins ?
    (3) If there is some big problem, will I be able to get back to twentytheme esayly ?

    I did a fresh backup of my database and the site itself (via ftp).

    Congrats! You are 90% of the way there 😉

    1. It should be very easy.
    2. No, no need to deactivate plugins.
    3. Yes, you should be able to easily convert back to the other theme if you don’t like the results.

    It sounds like you have all your bases covered. I’d give it a shot 🙂

    Just have to find a way to create a decent footer aera (gonna tweak the child theme).
