• Have things changed since my last install which was just last December 2012?
I have purchased a new domain name to create a new website but I can’t find the quick install for wordpress in the cPanel??

    Appreciate any help with this?

Thanks. I have found a wordpress quick install now but when I log in the url it’s showing as eg http://mywebsite.com/wordpress . Can I remove the wordpress part of the title as it’s my domain name that I want not something that has wordpress in the url.
When I try to alter the name via the settings/general then I can’t seem to get back into the dashboard area!

    if you still need help
you can follow guide on this page

No need to move it, necessarily. Once it has been built in the /wordpress/ folder, you can keep that folder name from displaying as part of the url by following the instructions here:
    Giving WordPress Its Own Directory

New domain name and new website = Create a new Add On Domain in cPanel.

Set the nameservers where your domain name is registered to the nameservers of your current cPanel hosting account.

Then create a new Add On Domain using the new domain name to point to the folder where you installed WP; frankly, I would rename it to something other than ‘wordpress’.

You will have to wait up to 48 hours or so for the nameserver change to propagate.

I have 26 WP sites, 3 eFront sites and a Lime Survey site in my cPanel hosting account and all were easily set up in this manner.
