WP.com account and WP Blog Stats stopped working

I set up a blog within the /wordpress folder and got WP Blog Stats working. I then changed the blog address to display the blog within the route folder when the site went live. Since redirecting the blog address Stats doesn’t work. When I access Blog Stats through the Dashboard I am prompted to enter my WP.com username and password. The username and password don’t work and when I try to retrieve the password from WP.com I get NOTHING. I’ve tried emailing them through their support form, but because the site is hosted externally I can’t contact them.

What do I do? Should I try uninstalling and re-installing? Should I give up on Blog Stats and try a new plugin?
