Portfolio of a specific category?

    Hi,

    first off: Great theme! It’s really hard to find any better themes for free in the net. Splendid work! Consider doing premium themes 🙂 (Although i’m glad that there are great themes like this for free)

    My question is: Is it possible to only list items from a specific category on a portfolio page? So for example that only posts from category ‘A’ will be displayed.

    If not, i really think you should include an option to do so, could really open up the possibilities of what you want to show on the portfolio page.

    I have a bit of background knowledge of php, so i know that it might not be impossible to do, but i’m not really familiar with the whole wordpress “engine”, so i would be very thankful if someone could tell me if there is a simple way to do that. Would be really awesome.

    Hi,
    thanks for your review. This option is likely will be added with next update. If this option strongly need you right now, i think i can do it for you during this weekend (without global theme update, just modify few files)

    If you could do it, that would be great, but i also can wait until the next update, there is no strong need for it right now for me.

    Hi,

    you can find this small update here – required files is options.php and inc/extras.php – it’s only files you need to replace in your theme.

    To update your own theme you need to replace appropriate files in yuor theme with files from Github. There are no possibility to change this files via child theme, so you need to be very careful with replacing this files. Make this update only if you sure that you changing right files.

    When update will be done in your Appearance->Theme Options->General will be added option Category slug for portfolio page

    Please, how can create much portfolio pages filtereable by diferent categories.

    Hi andy, I was trying to update the theme by changing the files in options.php and extras.php. you indicate here. The thing was that an error came up in the line 1294. Now I can`t even get into the editor page. Look: http://serecrea.com/wp-login.php

    Hi, @serecrea
    This update was actual for version 1.0.7. In current version 1.1.0 this option is already built-in. You can find it in Appearance->Theme Options->General->Category slug for portfolio page.
    To fix your problem you need to upload and replace Duena theme into your wordpress themes directory.
    P.S. also some strange thing with your error – parser says that error on line 1294, but in file options.php on Github only 1291 lines…
