Blog held under Copyright Laws?

I found out tonight that some one has been using my wordpress blog to steal names, information, photos, etc. and has created another blog creating stories and pretending to be me.

Is the content that I’ve written with wordpress held under copy right laws? Would I be able press charges and take action?
