ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS msg when signing into my site

    I am continuously getting a ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS msg when signing into my site. The front end of the site seems to be running normally but I am having trouble with my back end. The only way I can sign into my site is clearing the cookies etc on my browser every time I try to sign in. I got in yesterday and deactivated the unessential plugins but I have the error again this morning.

    Any suggestions??

    Is your site on GoDaddy?

    Oh sorry, I read that error wrong – a similar error is common on GD right now.

    Have you tried deactivating ALL plugins – if necessary, by renaming the plugins folder temporarily using FTP or Cpanel –

    wp-content
    pluginsHOLD

    Also, have you tried another browser?

    I have tried other browsers and am experiencing the same problem on them all.

    The only plugins I have activated now are Backup Buddy & Akismet but I will deactivate them both & see if that helps.
