• Help! This was true with 3.5.2 and now with 3.6 – a two-week mystery? No new plugins to blame but when editing posts or pages – selecting text no longer gives me the option to create a link unless the text is first made bold, and when using tables (we have a lot, lots of tabular data) clicking in any row or column then highlights the rest as I drag (without pressing the mouse button) and disables all commands. I am near the top of the creek, with no means of propulsion – please help if you can!
    I hope you’re there, Esmi 🙂

More info – deactivating TinyMCE Advanced cures the dragging/selection problem, but with it go the table buttons. Two other plugins that add the table buttons back in cause the problem to reoccur [sob]
All / any help appreciated …

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Thirteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Hello Esmi
I love it when you’re pragmatic with me. It’s a live site, but I can take it down this evening and see. However – the problem is that at least two plugins will need to be active – the Maintenance Mode plugin, and the TinyMCE advanced plugin, as without the second one there are no options to add or edit tables. Is tricky, no?
Thanks for your reply – if anything else springs to mind, please shout!
    AW 🙂

Do you really need to add/edit tables whilst troubleshooting? 🙂

Seriously, you need to turn everything off if you want to troubleshoot this effectively. With luck, it should only take 5-10 minutes.

    That’s me told then …
    More tomorrow 🙂
