Slideshow Fade effect does not work!

Hello Community!
before installing CC, i looked at many use cases of this theme, many of them had nice slideshows with a nice fade effect.
however, when i installed CC and set the slideshow up (by page ids, not posts), i noticed that slideshow does not have a fade effect, it just changes the featured images after say 5000ms.

maybe i’m missing an obvious thing?!

i’d really appreciate your help since the site is going to be live in few days.
(now it is a local install, sorry that i cant provide a link)

p.s.
i have checked all plugins and deactivated them to make sure they are not responsible.
