Upload file not sending in email

I already did a search and tried the solutions of the now closed discussions on this exact topic. This one sounded promising, but didn’t work (I get an error if I comment out the code like she says) – closed topic. A lot of the topics were closed without a clear solution. So, here we go again!

I’m sure I have my form correct. In the email, I see the file name, but nothing is attached. And, if I check the upload folder, nothing is in it…besides, my client will need to get the attachment in email and not have to FTP in (they aren’t that computer literate).

So, why am I not seeing the attachment in my email?
