Active menu item for parent when parent, child, grandchild pages are displayed

    I would like the menu item in the main menu bar navigation to remain active (different color) when the page of the menu item is displayed and when child, grandchild, etc pages are displayed. How can I keep the root menu item active (different color) when a child, grandchild, etc page is being displayed?
