I love this plugin design. I like how I can use one of my images as the background. The problem is it’s displaying wrong weather data for several cities I’m using. The Highs are close, but the Lows are way off.

I’ve compared it to weather channel.com and Accuweather and this data is off.

I’m not using some obscure city either. I am trying to pull New York City, so I don’t know how many nearby cities I would have to try to get the correct data.

    Thanks.

  • I’m having the same issues. Current temps are as much as 10 degrees F lower than actual … predicted high temperatures are off by an average of 10-15 degrees F … then the high and low temps are always the same as the current temperature …

I love the clean design simplicity of the widget and the ability to add my own images in the background … but the info shared is so far off accurate as to render the widget useless … if there is not a fix in the near future, I’ll either have to use something else or forego a look at the weather in the sidebar altogether …

I have nothing to do with the weather data that gets returned. That is all provided for free by OpenWeatherMap:

Maybe you can take this up with them or help them in some way so that it can be corrected.

    Thanks.

Hal, Would you consider creating another widget using a different, more accurate source? I would even be happy to pay for such a widget if it was a premium offering …

It is definitely something I would consider. I will look around to see what Weather Data is available. Is there one you trust?
