Exclude post types

I was wondering if there is any way to exclude a custom post type? I need to have blog posts and a custom post type on the home page and this plugin makes my custom ones show up wonky. But if I exclude the home page, then my blog posts don’t have excerpts or thumbnails. The site is http://liiondefense.com. Thank you!
