The only time NGFB checks for the post type is for Tumblr, which supports a “Quote” post type. All other post types are treated equal.

For open graph, if a webpage can be associated with an author, then it’s an “article”, otherwise it’s a “website” (see http://ogp.me/ for more info).

Let me know if that answers your question. 😉

Not seeing a meta box to edit OG info for individual posts within a post type. Option wasn’t showing up under screen options either.

Lol! That’s too funny… I’m coding that *exact* functionality this morning! 🙂

By default the custom OG settings will be available on post/page/attachment pages, but under the Advanced plugin settings, you’ll have checkboxes to add it to other post types as well. 🙂

I should have the DEV version done this afternoon, and the stable release should be available this week-end.

The current DEV version (6.5-dev6 available from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/nextgen-facebook.zip) adds the custom settings metabox to all custom post types (can be disabled on the Advanced settings page of the plugin).

Unfortunately, those custom settings fields are only usable in the Pro version… The stable Pro v6.5 will be available this week-end, but if you purchase and reply to the email you receive (so I can validate the Transaction ID), I can send you the Pro v6.5-dev6 archive today.

    Thanks,

    js.
