Hello,
A post category called “Featured” and with the slug “featured” will have to be added to your post categories. The slider will pick up the latest 3 posts from this category and the image if you have set a featured image. Image size should be at least 960px width and 400px height.
Whatever I do, this does not work!!!
Is there someone who can explane the above mentioned instructions, in a more understandable language ?
I made a category Featured under posts(in the left menubar) with the slug of featured, then a post and added a featured image and checked the Featured category.
I have full width template chosen, do I need to do anymore for the slider to appear on the frontpage ?
Any help much apprechiated and thanks in advance 🙂
It workes if I set the template to Custom Home Page, which also displayes the right widget sidebar which I don’t want. How do I get rid of that widget bar ? While displaying the flexslider 😀 Or do I need to integrade a new slider plugin ?

I’m working on my web based on your Bota template, and I was trying to set hyperlinks in the featured text boxes (1,2,3) of the home page, but for some reason I can only use hyperlinks in one box, after the first one is up and running It won’t let me save the changes to set them up in the other two boxes, regardless which one you use.
Any way to go around that?

i have added WOW slider to my site.
My front page is set to the home page(static) of my site .
but when i 1st load my site the front page does not show the slider. after clicking the home page again the slider appears.what to do to get the slider on 1st page .
Just a follow up- somehow I messed with the code and it all worked fine once I reinstalled a new version of the theme 🙂
I do want to ask how to remove the top margin?
I can’t seem to find any on #topbar or body in the style.
Any tips ? anyone 😀 Since the developer must have gone on holiday for the summer :))

Sneska – the custom home page doesn’t have a right side bar so I am not sure what the problem is there. Could you possibly give me a link to your site? Oh I see you got it working now!
The top margin is on the #wrap
DavidIborra – haven’t come across this issue before but I will have a look and add a fix for the next update which will be very soon.
ulaila – I am not sure how the WOW slider plugin works but the flexslider I have used is integrated into the custom homepage. If you are using a different plugin it should work fine with the Bota theme. I have just tried it with Meteor Slides plugin and it works perfectly.

I have the same problem of the homepage slider, I just installed wordpress, and after I installed the theme bota 1.3, I noticed that the featured images do not work if I create a new post, and then it does not work the slide in the Home, why?
