  • I’m looking into this.

    Any progress on this?

I have the latest version of the plugin installed and I am running WP Super Cache which is causing the cookie bar to reappear on pages once. Has there been any progress resolving the caching issue?

Have you tried deactivating WP Super Cache to test whether the bar is hidden? My guess is that this is a JS issue rather than caching.

Thanks for your quick reply. Apologies, I thought it was a caching issue but having deactivated it, the cookie bar still reappears. Any ideas how to resolve the JS issue?

Can you post a link to your site?

I still have the WP Super Cache deactivated at the moment. I really appreciate your help.

Okay, you’ve got a number of JS errors on your page. I think you should try deactivating all your plugins then re-enabling them one by one to identify where the problem is. You can also try switching to a default theme.

I’ll try that, many thanks for your help.

This plug-in appears on all pages. Is this an issue with the latest wordpress update? Either way the issue doesn’t seem to have been resolved and Im wasting time. Think Im going to have to look elsewhere.

Can you post a link to your site please? Whenever anyone previously has had a problem with the bar persisting, either their theme did not contain wp_footer() and/or the theme had multiple JavaScript errors.

    Thanks for getting in touch

The other plugins I use works seamlessley. I want to avoid any custom coding.

That said I’m having the same problem with other ‘cookie consent’ plugins.

Possibly WordPress have changed something in the most recent update

I can see that there is at least one JavaScript error on the page. This may be causing a problem.

Otherwise, the plugin is working fine on other sites so it might be worth disabling all your other plugins then re-enabling one at a time to see if it’s possible to identify a conflict.

I was having the same problem. I am using W3 Total Cache, using <!– W3TC-include-js-head –> to call the compressed js at the bottom of the page.

When i removed this it fixed the issue so i don’t know whether it could be an problem with minified scripts from W3 Total Cache conflicting with the Cookie Consent scripts. It does mean that not as many of my scripts are called at the bottom of the page but it is fine for a temporary fix.

I hope this helps anyone else.

I use WP Super Cache and I have the same problem – also after updating to the latest version (1.71).
