  • Hey, sorry for the long overdue reply, seems I somehow managed to overlook your question. My fault, big sorry! 🙁

I’m afraid our plugin cannot work with custom post type of blogs, because of technical reasons. We wish we could help you out, but for the time being, this is not possible.

But do let me know if you have any more questions or if something is not absolutely clear — I’m here to help!

Take care & have a nice day!

Hi There without custom posts this plugin will be left behind, i buy like 3 themes per week and 98% of then use custom posts, without this feature is not gonna be left behind this plugins, first time i had to search for a plugin most of the time all this themes have their own related post thingy, but cam across one it doesnt that my client likes.

i install this one, but only shows links, no thumbs, any way you could check this code to see if yours could show custom posts?

Hey @elpino, sorry for the long overdue answer, but I did manage to find the solution!

Somehow I forgot that our other related posts plugin kept that option alive, so that you can use it for your blogs. It’s called ‘Related Posts’ and you can download it here:

Let me know how it goes or if you have any additional questions what-so-ever — I’ll try to help you out as fast as possible!

Take care & have a nice weekend ahead!

Hi there that one doesnt work on custom post either…. any other sugestions?

Hey Elpino, hmm, how come that this option didn’t work? Are you sure you used it correctly? If so, do you mind if I ask you how you did it?

Beacuse otherwise I’m really afraid there’s no other option available. But do let me know what’s up before we raise that white flag.

Take care & I’m looking forward to your reply! (And sorry for the late, late reply; summer holidays took its toll!)

I installed the plugin you said and that plugin doesnt support custom post none of your plugin does, weird thing since all new wordpress themes are made with custom post

Hmm, are you sure you followed the right link? Here’s a screenshot of the ‘Related Posts‘ plugin I have installed on my blog and has that feature available in the plugin settings.

Here’s the screenshot for easier navigation: http://cl.ly/image/2K3t0L1L2Q1E

Remember to first deactivate this plugin before installing the other one, in order to avoid any confusion.

And do let me know how it goes — I’m eager to help! Take care & have a nice weekend ahead!

there appears all the custom fields but no way to check a custom field category to populated the custom fields.

just a bunch of custom tags like date, labels, etc, i had like 150, i finally found the one for a thumbnail but still dint do anything… defenetly not what i mean i need a plugin to work in “custom posts” like it works in regular post you should add this option to this plugins or it will be outdated, cause everything is done in custom posts now.

Hey, big sorry for the misunderstanding about the ‘custom posts’ vs the ‘custom fields’ wording. Totally my fault, big sorry!

As for the custom posts — I’m afraid we don’t and cannot support them at the moment, although we would wish to. We are currently focusing on some other features that we are working on as well as fixing some problems we are having with previously released functions.

We wish we could do something about it, but for now, I’m afraid to say, our hands our tied.

But do let me know if you do have any more questions or if there’s something not absolutely clear — I’m here to help!

Take care & have a lovely weekend ahead!

    Best,
    Silvo
