• So after installation of Sitewide tags, I tried to change the settings as mentioned inside the wordpress-mu-sitewide-tags/readme.txt.

But for some reason, nothing could be change! The settings page of the plugin just loading with the default options and I’m unable to change any options here!…please can someone help me figure this?

Another thing I’ve noticed is: The plugin was activated from my Network admin & now set to Network Activated status, still the plugin doesn’t show in the list of plugins available inside other sites of the network. Can the plugin pull all posts information of all other sites of the network just by placing activating the plugin in the Network admin, or do we have to activate it to each site inside the network disabling it inside network admin, which works to make use of this plugin, so the Home page of the network can show all posts from all other sites inside the network?

Ipstenu (Mika E.), hope you’ll help me sort this!..

    Look forward..
    Thanks
    Pradeep.

Rule #1 about plugin problems: ALWAYS post in the plugin’s support page πŸ™‚

    http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordpress-mu-sitewide-tags

I’ve tagged this so in theory the devs will see it.

You went to the page on the network admin as they suggested, right?

Sure, next time, I’ll ask in the plugins’ support page only.

Yes, I did what it is said in the notes, but I could do nothing as the instructions says!..

Login as a site administrator and go to Super Admin->Sitewide Tags.

    What do you see here?

    (@ppradeep)

    I see this: http://allinhyderabad.com/?attachment_id=440

I’m unable to change or edit any options from those settings, even after editing & updating the changes..

Just FYI, when you’ve got a lightbox, it’s WAY easier if you link to the image direct πŸ™‚

    http://allinhyderabad.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/sitewidetags-currentstatus-sampleimg.png

When you press ‘Update Settings’ what message do you get?

Also right now you should have a ‘tags’ blog. Was that created for you?

    Thread Starter ppradeep

    (@ppradeep)

Thanks for recommending lightbox, never knew this…

    this one: ‘Settings Updated’

‘tags’ blog?…no I haven’t…looks like this is essential for the plugin to work?..pls, let me know how to create one..

    Thanks.

You need to actually READ the page you’re on. It says right there

“You can create your post archive in a specific ‘tags’ blog of your choosing, or you can use the main blog of your site. Each has it’s own pros and cons.”

And under that, I see you put in ‘tags’ for option 1.

So read what that says and check if that blog exists πŸ™‚

    Thread Starter ppradeep

    (@ppradeep)

Yes, I selected option 2: ‘Post to main blog’ but nothing changes/work.. the page loads the same default settings page again after choosing desired options & Update settings!..

The page reloads, but are YOUR options now checked? yes or no? πŸ™‚

If not, the problem is your DB isn’t saving right, so turn off your other plugins!

    Thread Starter ppradeep

    (@ppradeep)

Yes, they are Checked but only the default settings not those I selected to Check, that’s the problem I see why aren’t the options I choose not getting selected!..

why aren’t the options I choose not getting selected!..

OKAY! This is what I was trying to sort out πŸ™‚

    Turn on debugging πŸ™‚

Also turn off ALL your other plugins.

hi Ipstenu, after many attempts of re-installing & experimenting on various plugins its now working. Now all posts inside the multinetwork site except the Homepage posts are now imported to one place, here: allinhyderabad.com/tags/ …how can we import the blogposts from Homepage, as the plugin did to other sites posts?

And as I’ve been saying since beginning, how can we make all network sites’ posts import on Homepage(allinhyderabad.com) with this plugin rather on Tags page(http://allinhyderabad.com/tags/), is that possible at all!?

    Look forward to your reply..
    Thanks

    (@ppradeep)

ok, I’ve finally worked on it and the plugin is now showing up/import all sites posts on to Homepage, all good!..but the featured images are not displaying alongside the posts, which are actually are displaying in their respective network group sites!..how can we make this possible?

    Look forward to you reply..
    Thanks
