• I have a picture saved on my computer. When I upload it to wordpress it comes in upside down. I rotate it, save it, update it. When I try to set it as the featured image it is upside down.

I flipped the image on my computer upside down and resaved it with a new name. I uploaded it to word press and it still came in upside down. I feel doomed that this picture will forever be upside down as a featured image. Ideas?

Can you post a link to a page on your site showing this issue?

    hi shannon,

firstly please edit your username, as it is showing your email address for everyone!

then, to your issue: this sounds weird. i think you are doomed. 🙂

do you have any plugins installed? if yes, please deactivate all plugins and check if the issue still exists..

    hope this helps, konrad

BTW, this is not a theme issue, maybe tryout with a complete fresh install and some new upside down images.. 😉

I have edited photos (that I took myself) in the media library of my wordpress site and when I look at my blog on my laptop, the photos look fine. If you look at the blogsite on a smart phone or other device, the images appear upside down. I re-edit photo, do it again, still upside down–but rightside up when I look it at myself. Thoughts?

Yeah, I highly doubt this is a theme issue. I would do what Konrad said. Here are some steps to take. Try it after every step to see if the issue has been resolved.

    1. Deactivate all plugins. (If that works, start activating them one at a time to find the culprit)
    2. Upload the photo using FTP
    3. Create a new wordpress installation
