• Okay, what I don’t get right off the bat is how anyone who actually needs a plugin, which is meant to make things easier, should just understand how this process works. There’s a lot of assumption being made, I think, that the users are going to have all kinds of time to read through all kinds of documentation on the finer points of ‘creating an app’, which already seems confusing to a person that really just wants to add a ‘like button’ and have clean OG data display when someone tries to post one of their posts or pages on Facebook.

I found one article that promises to explain the new official Facebook plugin, but then after following along a bit, it seems that it’s just outdated enough that it’s totally confusing as Facebook has changed its ‘create an app’ page just a bit – too much, unfortunately.

There has to be some appreciation by the authors of how most people will try to use this. Right? Why isn’t there a better, or any, help demos or pages that don’t demand the user get to intimately understand things that are perhaps immediately beyond their actual needs?

    Frustrated.
