    Hi,

    I have a problem with streaming certain feeds from my website into a native application.

    The general feed is fed into the app and everything appears as it should.

    However, if I want to stream a certain category of my blog, the feed is not showing up in the app. I validated the feed with an external website so it should be correct.

    I also tested whether it was a problem due to the category feed, by creating another blog and testing whether those category feeds would stream in my native app. They did, so I concluded that something must be wrong with the website/categories.

    However, I tried many different things, from changing the theme’s, to changing settings and disabling certain plugins but I still have not found a solution.

    I cannot find a connection why the main feed is streaming into the app, but when I try to stream a category feed it is not appearing (albeit it is the same content).

    Would you maybe have an idea for me where to look at? Just some piece of advise in the direction to take

    Sorry. Since this well outside of WordPress’ sphere of influence (so to speak) and appears to be an issue within your custom app, I wouldn’t have a clue.

    I understand. Thank you for the response. If I will find a solution (which will somehow involve changing settings within wordpress) I will post it in here for potential similar future problems.

    The problem lies in the ‘Page Restrict’ Plugin.

    I had my posts set to private (logged in users only) and somehow the plugin did stream the general feed, but not the category feeds (odd). Disabling the plugin did not work initially, so I disabled it hard core by renaming the plugin directory (via FTP) to plugin.hold, loggin in into the administration panel, and renaming it back again to plugin. All plugins were disabled and 1 by 1 I enabled the plugins again, finding the Page Restrict plugin to be the problem.

    I emailed the author/developer to ask wherein the problem lies and whether this could be fixed or not.

    Problem resolved, however another problem appears (blog is public again).
