Can’t get an answer after a week of waiting, complaining here seems to be the only hope.
It really isn’t. That’s the equivalent of “Support me or I’ll 1 star your software” which aside from not being effective isn’t very nice.

It’s always optional here and plugin authors are under no obligation to support their code at all. Of course it’s nice when they do but like everything here it’s 100% volunteer driven.
Also please be aware that you’re a user of the author’s code and not that authors customer. It’s a totally different relationship and your free use of the (also free) plugin doesn’t obligate the author in anyway.
Ok,if that’s their attitude I’m quite happy for the moderator to remove my review and I’ll use another plug-in. Of course I won’t buy the Pro version of this plug-in (the reason they provide a free version)
