• I really like the theme and enjoy using it. The one thing that I am having a hard time figuring out is how to add a sidebar. Seems like the sidebar will not show. I would like a side bar to add different widgets. What can I do? I have have not modified any files.

  • This theme is one column. It’s by design. The point of one column web page is that it makes everybody focus on the content.

would it be possible to modify a file to accommodate for side bar?

Yes, it’s possible. But it’s not that simple. It involves template editing (putting in the call to sidebar), and register the sidebar in functions.php and make the adjustments in style.css.

If would be a lot easier to pick 2 columns theme and adjust the design to look like this theme.

Ive done some modifying of code. i see by modifying the sidebar.php file i can get the sidebar to show at the bottom of the page as a footer. Now Im going to see if i can figure out how to move that to the side… any suggestions?

Do not edit the theme itself. First create a child theme for your changes.

dont worry i did, im messing around on the child theme to figure out how to move the footer to sidebar…

    thanks for the concern!

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS troubleshooting. Or use whatever developer tool is available in your web browser.
