I really, really love this plugin. Simple to use and gets the job done!

I recently restored from the backup and uploaded the entire files and folder that the plugin made in my Dropbox up to my site via FTP. My question is…I also uploaded the wp-content/backup folder which I believe contains the database. (Actually, it does contain the database that the plugin includes in the backup–I think.)

This is where I am confused. Should I not upload that folder? Does it create an issue if it is uploaded to my site? I am worried that if it shouldn’t be uploaded, and if I need to download a new backup, will having that folder there keep my old database file and the plugin not update it when it archives the site to Dropbox?

Thanks. Hope I am making sense.

    Gday Tony,

The contents of ‘wp-content/backups’ should not be uploaded to your server because it contains the SQL dump files that need to be imported to your MySQL database instead.

    Cheers,
    Mikey
