Nope not it. I can replicate the problem over and over again.

It’s really weird. I can make changes inside the index template and they won’t show up on the index, everything is writable and sometimes they do show up, but most of the time they don’t.

We are not talking about the site that can be accessed by clicking your name, are we? (because that one is working perfectly…)

oh lol no, we’re talking about a personal site, http://www.ericragle.com
    Sorry about that hehe

It’s probably because I’m testing this beta while running a kubrick theme on it. You wouldn’t think it would matter though.
It’s almost as if sometimes the configured index just doesn’t take. And it is 100% writable.

do you have an index.htm(l) by any chance? Most web servers are set to use index.html first, and only move to the index.php file if the html file isn’t found.

Well how ignant am I? lol I installed wordpress through fantastico, and it just added characters to my defualt html place holder. Good call!
I deleted the index.html and it straightened right out. Thanks TechGnome!
    (and moshu for tryin)

hmmm… clicking on your name on the right of your posts here it takes me exactly to the ericragle.com — though in the statusbar it says thedailycarrot.com
Now I am confused. And on the reciragle.com with or without putting there the index.php (manually) I got the same look. Both in IE 5.5 and FF.

Oh that’s because I currently have thedailycarrot redirected to ericragle.com, don’t let that confuse ya.
It does appear to have staightened out however, I am curious as to why some of the changes I make to the index just don’t seem to “stick” when I view the site. Oh well, trial and error till it’s done I suppose.

For example, just for expierimenting purposes, in the footer, I wrote “is it?” as a part of the copyright. It doesn’t show up for me however.
    Maybe a browser problem…

Well I can confirm it isn’t a browser problem because I manually edited the index.php file and the changes didn’t show up after re-uploading.
