If I understand correctly, you want the Home link to send the viewers to the home of the site, and not that of the blog.
You’ll need to edit your theme to make this work correctly. Could you please post the code of your theme’s index.php to PasteBin and reply with the link so I could take a look at it?
Now that I re-read the original thread, I realize I may have misunderstood the question. Are you trying to take a WP Page and use it as your main page? Do that using your admin screen (wp admin -> options).
Please clarify the question.
Okay, when I create a new page in wordpress (“Home”) it takes me to (i.e. “mywebsite.com/home”). I want it to take me to mywebsite.com without the “/home” as a slug. My blog is on the homepage and I want it to stay there (i.e. mywebsite.com). I want the “Home” link / tab of the “Home” page on the header to take the visitors back to the “mywebsite.com”. I don’t want them to end up at “mywebsite.com/home”. Hopefully this cleared up my problem. I appreciate any help.
admin > Options > Reading. Have you ever visited that?
Create a Page (as in Write > Write Page) and name it “Home”. Then go to the Options above and set it as your “frontpage”. Pick another Page to be your “posts page”. Done.
Hi Moshu, thanks for the help, but I want my “posts” to be on my “frontpage”…
You can NOT have your posts on a Page and have it as your frontpage. Period.
Pages are pages and posts are posts.
That’s good to know! Thank you!
